How to convert Avestan into Latin writing and vice versa
Neben dem Font „Ahuramzda.ttf“ werden folgende Fonts benötigt:

“MitAvestanAhuramazdaPlusTranslit.ttf”, “OnlyOrmuzd.ttf” and
“OnlyOrmuzdPlusTranslit.ttf”
1. Wie
sehen die Fonts aus/ How are the fonts looking like
MitAvestanAhuramazdaPlusTranslit.ttf
2. Die Fonts werden
* in Windows installiert, indem man sie in
den C:\WINDOWS\Fonts-Ordner kopiert;
* in Ubuntu
a) indem man sie mit dem
Schriftarten-Anzeigeprogramm öffnet und dann auf "Schrift installieren" drückt
und wartet, bis „Installiert“ angezeigt
wird
oder
b) indem man sie in den Ordner
"Persönlicher Ordner/.fonts" kopiert, wobei "Verborgene Dateien
anzeigen"
aktiviert sein muss.
The Fonts are installed
* in Windows copying them into
the C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder.
* In Ubuntu
a) double click on the font
file to open it. This opens a font viewer window. On the right there is a
button,
"Install
Font". Click on it. Wait until the button turns to greyed out
"Installed"
or
b) one copies them into the folder
"Personal Folder/.fonts" whereby "Show hidden files" has to
be activated.
Mit Hilfe zweier Makros für
„OpenOffice.org Writer“ kann jetzt awestische Schrift in lateinische
transkribiert werden, und umgekehrt.
Now with the help of two macros for “OpenOffice.org Writer” Avestan
writing can be transcribed into Latin and vice versa.
